Unit: Our Community's Geography - Geographic Terms 2nd Grade Level

This is my Social Studies unit I created for my final project, class EDSE650.

In this unit, which is aligned with the K-8 scope and sequence, students will be able to recognize different types of maps, be able to locate New York State on a map, know and use cardinal directions, differentiate between landforms, able to label the landforms of New York State and know that there are seven continents and each of their names.

I have uploaded word files to Scribd.com & Slideshare and then linked them in order on my blog.  Below is everything you will need for this unit.

There are links to video within each lesson plan as well.  Those links include song as a way of remembering facts.

Thank you and I hope it is informative.
